Happy June everyone!  Please read over this letter carefully!

You will notice in the folder this week, there is NO signature sheet.  Please continue to review papers that are in the folder and look carefully over notes I may have written on your child’s work.  Please return the folder as usual next week (TUESDAY, BECAUSE OF OLYMPIC DAY).  There will be ONE more folder going home, on Friday June 11^th.  You will not need to return that folder.  Any papers I have to send home after June 11^th, will go home individually.

On Friday June 18^th and Monday June 21^st we will be doing cleaning in 4T. We will begin packing up for the end of the year.  If you could send in cleaning supplies, it would be greatly appreciated.  We can always use SOS pads, sponges, spray cleaner, Clorox type wipes and paper towels. 

On Monday June 7^th, we will be having Olympic Day at Rivier College.  (Rain date is Tuesday June 8^th, but right now the weather looks pretty good for Monday) Please be sure your child is at the college by8:55am.  This is a ½ DAY OF SCHOOL, WITH DISMISSAL FROM THE COLLEGE.   I have reminded the kids to bring water and snacks with them.  I will have a crate there for anything they bring with them.  They do not need backpacks.  I suggested they wear sunscreen and bug spray since ALL ACTIVIITES WILL BE OUTSIDE THIS YEAR! 

On Tuesday June 8^th, my reading group will be celebrating finishing our last chapter book!  We will have a “Cay Party”.  We will eat and drink some tasty “tropical” treats.  The students will be allowed to wear tropical/Hawaii type clothing DURING THE PARTY.  THIS IS NOT A NO-UNIFORM DAY!

Wednesday June 9^th reading projects are due, we will take our NH social studies test (whole book, kids may use NOTES), and this is the night of the spring concert at school.  Students should be their homeroom at 6:45pm.  The show begins at 7pm

Friday June 11 is the science test on the space/planets unit.  Students may use NOTES for this test.  At 2pm, band and chorus kids will be dismissed for their Canobie Lake trip with Mrs. Yetto.

Monday June 14 we will have enrichment in the cafeteria from 9-10am.  This enrichment is called “Vacuum Space”.

On Wednesday June 16, Thursday June 17 and Friday June 18 both 4^th grade classes will be having “theme days”. Miss Lavoie and I started doing this a few years ago and the kids really like it.  (We do too).  By this point in the year, we’re pretty much done with “regular lessons”, so we’ll try to sneak in some last minute review and some fun by having “theme days”.  These will include Baseball Day, Surf’s Up/Under the Sea and Strawberries & Watermelon Day.  We will incorporate math, science, religion, English, social studies, and even art into these fun filled days!

Friday June 18 is the 6^th grade graduation.

June 22^nd will be out last day of school.  This is a ½ day of school for Infant Jesus School.

It’s hard to believe the end of another year is upon us!  I feel like we were just getting started!  It has been wonderful working with your children this year.  I know they have learned a lot, and hope they had some fun along the way too!  I wish every single one of them happiness and success as they move on to 5^th grade.
